NBA 2k Idea - Pro Am Seasons

Okay so 2k is pretty involved in the esports scene lately with pro am and I think that it awesome! It's just incredible how much the Esports community has grown in the last few years. My idea is a little similar to what was done with the road to the championship. Here it is:

So in game, you go to proam, you have your squad, but you get matched up against a team who is clearly better than you up and down the board, and they have a 450-27 record to your 14-16 record. This might be a way to help that, but also still leave it the same way. My idea is to create a sub pro am game mode within normal pro am. This would be like a subcategory game mode inside of pro am, like RTTC.

What if you were to say a team would submit a roster of 10 players and only these people would be allowed to play on that team in this mode. Then after that, you play like 3-4 play in games, then depending on results, you get put into like a weight division kind of ranking system. So like say my team goes 2-2 in those games, we get put in like a middleweight class (Other things would also be taken into consideration). After this, you register your team into that category, and then it gives you like a full season schedule of teams from inside your weight class. So say like a 20 game season, and we play only teams from the middle weight class for the season. After the season is over, there is a normal playoff schedule with the best 12 teams, and then if you win you can move up to the next weight class. But this way you play teams that are similar in skill, and you don't get those horrible matchups and you also have something cool to play for. Obviously there are a lot more details to work out but I think this would keep players extremely involved and competitive and without the pain of facing a complete mismatch.
