There should be a menu at the start of your mycareer where it has you pick your attribute caps. You can be allocated a certain amount of attribute points and make everything go where you want it with every attributes starting point varying by size, weight, and position. This allows you to create a Steph Curry who can shoot from deep, but he can also dribble and finish in the paint, but you won't have enough attribute points to make him athletic and a lockdown defender as well, otherwise he'd be overpowered. Or you can create a Lebron, who's strong, can pass, can finish in the paint and hit mid range fadeaways, but his 3 point shot will be mediocre. This would make the attribute cap system so much better, because it gives the player holding the controller the power to decide who they want their player to be. Not the guys at 2k Sports who are creating attributes and there will be a lot of the same player.
