Better Balance......Less Turnover..........Inspire Fairplay

Avon Service Improvement Idea

Submitted 9 years ago

I didnt know until recenty much about training, where to go to get answers for some things, upline and downlines, and just exactly what to do with the person who brought me in. Than when I found out she had over 40 people under her, I understood better why she never seemed to answer my questions, except perhaps with one line. and than when I got a few people underme , I wanted to get together right away and have a meeting and learn some of the basics together etc. But my team didnt seem to want to. So here I was caught up between two generations that were doing things one way and I was trying to find some support to get some traing and someone to teach me some things that I needed in order to sell, sell, sell. I sure did want to and I could see a part of me getting better, and coming up with some ideas, but there wasnt anyone to bounce ides off of, and even if it was okay for one person to have so many under her, it seems that if we worked as a team, we could all share some of the little profits, too. As it is as far as I know, well I cant say, there may be more doing just fine. But my idea is for more even spread of some of this. For example there are in some case, newspapers, etc that advertise do you want to sell Avon and some that "Do you want to buy avon". Now there is a phone call, so lets say there is just one person answeringthe call, well they can have a list of some of the rep., and of course there will be qualificatins to get on this list, like how long selling, etc., but instead of giving these calls to the same people over and over, and those who already have plenty of customers, let some more step up and get on a list and gget some sales, so we feel like we are doing something abd making some money. and of course same way with people who call in and want to be reps dont give more to the person who already has so many, give some oneelse a chance to build up a team. and than the last part of this is as these people start to get more customers, and therefore having sales and feeling great because we too are making some money, and now this is where the teams work together some. They will all have a different style, some may want a very active more structured team where the new people learn some of the fundamental basics together....in the literature where someone has worked very hard putting out so much great training information, etc., no one even mentioned anything to me. I didnt know there was all tht great stuff right on the Web sites. I am not suggesting this become too structered , and have no time for anything else.I am just saying a little bit more of that and a little less where you have someone who has 40 plus people and not enough time to spend wth any of them, and not even introduce me to others on the team who maybe could help some of the new folks and on and on it could go. I read in several places where customers wee giving there feedback that there had been alot of turnover and they didnt like that. I think this is another way to eiminate the turnover.I also know customers will have their fair ofbetter service, more For these over taxed rep. will have more time to do better with their reps and their customers. So you have small groups of people learning together and helping one another to take care of the customers. That is team work and they have shown Groups work better, together than people do on their own, esp. when on their own they feel overwhelmed and inadequate and nobody to get help from, and no real sales another campaign. I have some other ideas but I am going to see how this goes over first. Plus some of the ideas may be about talking to some people.and as I read some of what is allowed and not I will write in some more thoughts and ideas. One last thing my sense is that all of this is what the original pioneers had in mind. So I know I am singing to the choir...it is just maybe some of those pioneers don't know how far away from the original they have strayed. Thankyou for listening.........
