Backseat View

Hello BMW!

I am now a grandmother and have realized the struggle of new parents attempting to see their children in the backseat especially facing to the rear when they are a newborn. I continually feel compelled to turn around a look at the baby when my grandson is with me just to check his safety and breathing although, it isn't always safe or easy to do especially at my age! (My children didn't have this when they were little) I am suggesting to BMW, who is the top in safety and expertise in my opinion now that I am fortunate to own two. I didn't have such safety and exotic features on my previous vehicles!

My suggestion is to have a backseat view on the front screen for the driver to have an option to pullup the rearview on the screen and check the child. I think something similar the phone mic over the drivers seat in the overhead but have it in the back overhead liner to view if unable to turnaround to look!

While my grandson is making his tiny little sounds I'm secure in his safety, but when he is asleep it can be very upsetting to check and recheck him and his breathing! One thing for sure is I know he is as safe as anywhere in my X5 4.8I BMW!


Thanks for considering my suggestion for the safety of our children. This is not to be a babysitter, but another option to keep our children safe while in the car during our travels. Thanks again!
