Abstract/Summary of Idea:
this innovative idea is about a single vehicle engine, works in the hybrid way which can use gas and electricity on the same time, and it is suitable for different kind of hybrid vehicle with its weight less than 200kg and the small size (diameter 55cm, thickness 10cm). electrical motor like design makes the engine is easy maintenance and more reliable.
Details:
The permeability of thermal magnet material changes sharply when temperature is close to its Curie Point, the permeability changing cause the magnet field varying and generate torque as a consequence with aborative structural design. the new design is 80% similar with traditional permanent magnet motor. the simulation with COMSOL and ANSYS MAXWELL shows the average torque is around 185 Nm only provided by gas combustion in the range of 2000 to 3000 rpm, and 400 Nm torque is achieved by electricity and gas, the short duration (tens seconds) peak torque can reach 700 to 800 Nm with only electricity provided.
In worst case, the efficiency of gas energy conversion is around 35% with its maximum torque output, if the torque is less than 185Nm (the maximum torque of this design), the efficiency will higher than 50% due to the abnormal specific heat and magnet refrigeration effect around it Curie temperature.
