Ice.

Boeing Product Improvement Idea

Submitted 7 years ago

Ice build up on airplanes has led to devastating losses both sentimental and fiscally, this is a problem that seems difficult to tackle, I have theorized 3 possibilities to make flight planning more efficient, 1. Hydrophobic lining - a hydrophobic lining would desperately push the condensing h2o and make ice build up much more difficult. 2. Friction gates that cause and condensing ice to rapidly generate heat, liquidating any ice even as it begins to crystallize. 3. Lily pad synthetic fibers, lily pad fibers wick away water, better than any material perhaps utilization of such physical properties would help resistance towards ice building on the wings, nose and props.
