Boost Mobile Customer Service Improvement Idea

I just tried to change my plan from a single phone to a family plan.
I am exactly half way through the month usage on my single phone ($40/mo) plan.

I was told that I have to pay the $70/month family plan for family plan (2 phones) and will lose the rest of the month on the single phone ($20). NO PRO-RATE AT ALL.

Shaddy busineeses that perform this practice.
