Refillable Liquid Laundry Detergent Container

I believe a great step to cutting down on plastic ending up in landfills and the ocean can start with Costco leading the way with refillable laundry detergent containers. Imagine Costco members coming in with their empty Kirkland detergent container purchased from Costco and walking up to a large dispenser tank and refilling their laundry detergent. The transaction can happen at the tank by swiping their Costco card or it can happen at the register?
I believe Costco members would be very excited to help improve our impact on the environment. People respect Costco and I believe it would start a new trend to improve the way products are distributed and lessening the impact on the planet.
