Removable Memory

This suggestion came from my 13 year old son, shortly after we upgraded our equipment. With the change we lost hours and hours of recorded programming, movies and tv shows. He asked me why doesn't DirecTV have a memory card or usb drive that you can store everything on and remove when you upgrade. That way you don't lose the things you love and you can keep adding more to use with the next system.
I hate having to sacrifice my recordings, and so does Ethan!!
