Store Placement

Dollar General Other Idea

Submitted 6 years ago

I think dollar general should consider building their stores a little different for instance I work for dollar general in two different locations and both location have the entrance to the store behind the cash register where there is little to no visibility for the cashier to see who's coming or going. To me this is a safety concern if somebody wants to come in the store to rob it the cashier really doesn't have any reaction time because their backs are to the door. I have seen this at several Dollar Generals. I really think this is something you all should look into.

You know im a shopper at a store in Nevada. Managers have to do everything exhchanges and returns and voids and if someone wants to remove a item they have to void the whole transaction and restart everything all over I've seen people in line leave and say im gping to walmart this process is just too much maybe they should update their pos system cause the one they have i hear is just ridiculous and if managers do everything why have cashier associates ??? Makes no sense at all !!

Listen to your customer requests!! Why do we sell ice cream but NO ice cream cones?? Carry more produ ts customers want, especially in foods. Go through and see what items sit and collect dust and get t bff em out and put in what your customers will buy. One request is horseradish-A LOT!!. TWO is ice cream cones. Also I'd like to add about our attire we wear everyday- it SUCKS!!!!! We look like we are going or coming from a funeral!! For god sake add color. Our colors are black and yellow or gold?? Let employees wear yellow shirts like they have on in all your train I g videos.I refuse to wear all black on black, so I make sure I have color somewhere on my shirt or pants and don't care if you like it or not!! Will NOT work in funeral attire and customers don't recognize that you work there, but I think they would if we were to wear store colors.
