A local franchise in Exeter NH used to make a Napoleon donut back in the 80's amd 90s, it was a long john shaped powdered yeast donut stuffed with Raspberry Jelly and Vanilla Creme then glazed with chocolate. OMG! They were amazing, a sugar rush like no other :) Of course this was back when DD cared about the donuts, made them fresh in each store 8x a day and wasnt obsessed with being Starbuck's considerably less literate inbred cousin.
