New Nonprofit Idea

Hello Dukin Donuts!! My name is Isabella Largaespada and I have a wonderful idea for the company to not only give back to those in needs but also to give those back to your costumers. Instead of going and having your employees throw away all the rest of your product out every single day, how about you go and have them box it and then ship it to food banks, have them take it to their families if they would like, or for them to allow people to come in right before closing time and get a free donut too. I think that this would be a great idea considering the fact the each year over 140 million tons of food is wasted and thrown away in the United States alone. And if you may be worried about legal issue or financial issues about giving away some donuts away to the homeless or those in need their is the bill Emerson Good Samaritan Act which basically protects business big and small from law suits over donated food to a non profit organization. So donating to the ones in need, giving back to you costumers, and also reducing the number of food being thrown out every single year in the United States Is I think in my opinion a very good option and things you can do. As a billion dollar company doing something this simple like giving out products that were not purchased by the end of the day is good way to give back to people and to also help the number or lower class citizens in starving epidemic that is spreading all over the United States. Please take this reconsideration into serious thought please, and do better!!.
