Transsexual Characters In Sims 4

Electronic Arts Product Improvement Idea

Submitted 8 years ago

The one thing I've always really liked about the Sims (at least from Sims 2 onward, don't know about Sims 1) is the freedom with sexual orientation. Back when the world was a less homo/bisexual-friendly environment in general, Sims 2 allowed females to be with females and males to be with males. However, at least in Sims 4, making transsexual characters is extremely difficult. See, a trans-man would still have the facial structure of a female without hormone therapy or gender reassignment surgery, neither of which is possible for minors and people with low income. So I started with a female character and attempted to choose the most masculine clothing. That was when I realized that there is a startlingly small amount of genuinely masculine clothing available for trans-men (or even particularly modest females - in swimwear, there are no shorts that reach more than a couple of inches down the thighs). Then I imagined how difficult it would be to make a trans-woman, particularly considering the lack of dresses and skirts for biological males. My suggestion is that you update the Sims 4 wardrobe to include both masculine AND feminine clothing for both males AND females.
