BACK TO THE ORIGINS



With all due respect for the work carried out by Cadillac management and all the representatives of the brand in recent years, the efforts made to bring the Cadillac to compete in the Premium sector were noteworthy.
But as you all know, efforts have not been enough, let alone in the past.
This is my thousandth e-mail that I send you, for the simple reason that I want to help by putting my whole self to fight together the European, Asian and also the internal competition.
All I am about to tell you, and I have told you in the past is only for pure passion and loyalty I feel about this fantastic and legendary US brand.
Now, I would like to try synthetically to analyze the mistakes made that have led to the almost total failure of the group across the board over the decades.
I live in Italy and to be honest nobody speaks, or knows the brand as you should know it, I know that in recent years you have closed the European division of both Cadillac and Chevrolet, to focus on other markets., To name one of the most important the Chinese one.
Now that the Psa Groupe has purchased the European Opel / Vauxhall brands from GM, it would be necessary to start focusing on Cadillac & Chevrolet for the European market.
In these years you have been focusing a lot on fashion, advertising and rental with Book by Cadillac, but with all due respect there are many other areas that would have significantly improved to be noticed all over the world. (... And of this I'm sure)
You could try on the European football industry, sponsor a club, or sponsor the UEFA Champions League, or create a cup (Come Audi Cup has created), where the biggest clubs in the world compete on a summer tour.
I think the nomenclature given to the latest models and those that still have to come out are not perfectly in line with the style of the Cadillac brand.
For top-of-the-range models I personally would have given names like the historical Fleetwood, Deville, El Dorado and many others.
If we would do more commercial, advertising and media efforts, I am sure that even with today's range Cadillac could detect an interesting slice of the market in Europe.
You just have to believe more in your own means, I just want to remind you that you are part of an iconic brand (The Standard of the World), you can force it.
And I am even more convinced that Cadillac can become an independent brand, that it walks with its own legs, and I think it is of vital importance to compete with the German premium Teutonic trio Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz.
I am aware that Audi is part of the VAG group but has more decision-making power and a division independent of VW.



To conclude I would love it very much and I would do it even without being paid to be able to join the group and help ... anyway go good luck and DARE GREATLY.
