Passenger Navigation Option

My friend and I were headed to a national park and discovered on the highway that some of the navigation buttons were grayed out while in drive. Makes sense for driver safety, but for the passenger whose job is navigation, it only makes them sad and feel useless. If there was a weight sensor under the passenger seat that would then allow all the options to be accessible, that would make us passenger-navigatior all much happier!
