Sense Items Left On Car

Honda Service Improvement Idea

Submitted 7 years ago

The sensor would be able to detect when an object is left on top of the car and alert the driver of the mistake before they take off driving. The sensor would be built into the car and would measure the weight on top of the car before it is parked. Then the weight would be taken again when the car is started. From there the car would be able to sense if there is a significant difference in weight and have an alert pop onto the dashboard to warn drivers they have left something on the car. An override button could also be built into the car for the driver to adjust for weather conditions that would contribute to the extra weight. Imagine the amount of purses, coffee, and phones that will be saved by a simple alert.
