Tool For The Deaf

My wife is deaf and cannot hear the Police siren, fire truck siren or the sound of an ambulance.
Now when the above mentioned vehicles are traveling on the city street and come to a traffic light, the light turns green to allow the vehicle to proceed without having to stop

Now why can't Honda put the same detector in their cars that would pick up on this sound and turn a flashing light on that the deaf person could see. Once the deaf person saw the flashing light they could look in their mirrors and pull over to the right lane to allow the vehicle to proceed safely.
