Live Monitoring For Nano Cracks To Prevent Structural Failure

Honeywell Product Improvement Idea

Submitted 4 years ago

Have you ever wondered: why after so much effort for pipelines' testing they still crack and rupture?
The main reason for this is that the existing methods of testing and analysis are based on the hypothesis that the loss of integrity by pores, cracks formation and fracture of solids is due to the emission of elastic energy stored in stress concentrators. This hypothesis is completely wrong. It has been refuted in our laboratory both theoretically and experimentally in numerous tests.
All our experiments (over 250) have shown that dynamic processes due to atomic reactions are accompanied by electromagnetic radiation containing a region of X-ray radiation. It was established experimentally that X-rays, born in a substance, in contrast to rays emitted by an X-ray machine, travel a distance of hundreds of times more. This is a natural phenomenon, called self-emission transparency.
These self radiation and self-emission transparency allow measuring, analyzing the technical condition of any object without an external source of X-rays with a higher sensitivity, accuracy and efficiency than the one with an external source of X-rays, identifying possible damage at the stage of their origin and development. The fact that the object of study is an atomic reaction and the energy radiated in the X-ray range is measured makes the method independent of the size, form, composition of the object study, and the nature of external influences. We have performed our experiments on different materials in various conditions. Few experiments were done on the rail tracks and have been able to identify microscopic cracks at the 1/2-mile (800 m) distance without any external sources of X-ray radiation. The distance in this case was limited only by the length of the study site.
Another experiment was done about 10 feet away from the rail tracks, again, identifying the microscopic defects.
The sole cause of destruction is the ENERGY emitted by local group of atoms (metastable), very similar to laser.
The fact, that the object of our studies is an atomic reaction and the energy radiated in the X-ray spectrum can be measured, makes the method independent of the size, form, composition of the object study, and the nature of external influences.
This means that based on the universal nature of atoms in different materials, we have found a way to monitor in real time any structures and devices for microscopic and nano cracks, which will allow catastrophes prevention in different spheres and industries: pipelines, transport, bridges, prevention of oil spills, gas lines ruptures, explosions and other environmental disasters, saving countless lives and billions of dollars worth of properties.
Implementing the method on airplanes, for example: group of sensors mounted on the critical equipment and fuselage will scan for nano cracks development in real time.
We have filed the U. S. Patent Application NON-INVASIVE MONITORING OF ATOMIC REACTIONS TO DETECT STRUCTURAL FAILURE No. 62/674,107 and have written four books on the subject.
We are in position to provide theoretical and experimental proof of our discovery and the method.

Thank you for your consideration!
Sincerely, Vladimir Rombakh
