LG 3d Device For TVs

I've been doing some research and have discovered that there are separate 3d devices that make a standard 2d tv into a 3d tv. I.e. https://www.techinasia.com/turn-tv-3d-tv-cool-gadget-taiwan . Why doesn't LG create a device that does this really well and processes just as well as a really good 3d tv. This could then be sold as an add on that does the 3d processing for the tv. Those that want to buy 3d can then access it. I think this will be a very popular device in a market where other manufacturers have abandoned 3d, at a time when the next instalments of Avatar are going to be released!!!
