LG Top Load Washer Door Improvement

Like many before us, we made the switch from a front load to top load washer, as it cleans so much better and no trapped water smells.

But the space above our washer is limited, as the cabinets were selected and installed while we had the front load washer.

So my "New Idea" would be to create a door that folds once so you reduce the clearance required to open the door. We have had to pull the washer 15" away from the wall so we can open it and have it stay open (upper cabinet blocking it). Having a split door/top would gain 8-10 inches of clearance and provide most with space needed when making the switch from FRONT LOAD to TOP LOAD.
