Phone Powersaver Setting When No Reception
LG Product Improvement IdeaSubmitted 7 years ago
When cellphones do not get reception, they drain a decent amount of battery looking for a signal. Many people do not get cell phone reception during work. People have used Android automation apps like Tasker to set the phone in airplane mode then intermittently check for reception and messages. However, these apps often need the phone to be rooted.
Please have an LG app which lets you set the days of the week and hours of the day where the phone is set to airplane mode. Then let the user set the frequency and duration for which airplane mode is turned off to check for reception and messages.
For example the user goes to work M-F 8:30 to 4:30 pm and does not get reception except during lunch at 12:00 to 1:00 pm. Let the user set the phone to be in airplane mode M-F 8:30 to 12:00 and 1:00-4:30. The user can also set the phone to go out of airplane mode every 15 minutes for 1 minute to check for messages, just in case the user may happen to go to spot where there is reception.
If 1/2 of your weekdays are at work where you get no reception, this would be an useful app.
