Air-conditioners are used in different spaces in work and home, but are basically just temperature control and purifying units, but it can be so much more. They can be transformed in intelligent companions that enhances the experience of the customer. Think off the functionalities that can be added to a bedroom air-conditioner: currently the bedroom air-conditioner is just creating some wind-noise, and possibly some invertor noise. The controlling unit is in the bedroom, and can be used for so much more. It can be used to generate sounds, like wind, or rain, or waves, etc. that will improve the experience of the customer. If an app is added, the customer will be able to setup and choose his sleeping experience, i.e. at which internal-room temperatures the air-conditioner should turn-off or on, or at which times, at what temperatures, and which white-noises it should produce, and at selected times. Profiles can setup for different users, seasons, etc. This will completely transform the usage of air-conditioners from passive temp control units to active sleep management companions.
