Track Skipping For Music Player

I would find it extremely handy if there was a skip track option for the lg G3. My last phone had a feature where you could hold the volume buttons to skip ahead or backwards on tracks in the music player and since upgrading to an lg g3 that is the only feature that seems to be missing and its one that i miss dearly. There are apps on the play store that do this but they are buggy and require "root" access for me to enable the holding and skipping feature. If this could be implemented in the software on the phone it would cut the middle man so to speak and have some more quality assurance. I also feel it would work well ergonomically alongside the unique buttons on the back of the phone, please do this :):):):)
