Direct Customers To Side Streets For Pickups

I live in NYC, and getting a Lyft pickup on the very busy AVENUES in Manhattan is problematic for both the passenger and the driver. Terrible traffic, often no legal place for the driver to stop (ex: bus lanes), very hard to see the Lyft car with all the traffic. I finally figured out that it's best for both driver and myself to call Lyft from an intersecting STREET: narrower (easier for passenger & driver to see each other), less traffic, etc. It would be great if your software or video would suggest better/safer/legal pickup places for passengers to stand.
