Hi there,
I really think there is an untapped opportunity for McD to take some of the AM commute market from the Starbucks of the world. I live in the US (East Coast) and typically stop at one of my local Starbucks drive-thrus in the morning for a coffee and breakfast item. However, its expensive and the line takes up to 12-15 mins.
Sometimes, I skip the 'bux and go for McD because there is little to no line, and the coffee is good and affordable for an everyday type of habit. BUT, 1. you don't have non-dairy milk alternatives (I've even asked for "skim" milk before and had the attendant not understand that I meant "Fat free") and 2. there are some good and relatively low-calorie breakfast items, but are the victim of poor branding and marketing. I guarantee that if the branding for these items were to improve, we'd see people leave the Starbucks drive thru for the McD drive thru.
Just my two cents! Add oat milk as an option! That is definitely delicious and Bux doesn't have it.
