Model Railroad Construction Programs

Good morning,

Our company was provided two names for a new product/service idea for MENARDS. We attempted to send the program overview over, however neither of the two email addresses are routing to the individuals. We would like to provide additional information to the those with the model railroad division. If at all possible, please let us know the appropriate department so a formal over.

Here is the content of the email.


We are a custom model railroad construction company located here in the Greater Cincinnati area. We build an annual 12 to 18 custom model railroads for clients here on the East Coast and additional 3 to 4 systems out West. All of our materials for the systems are currently purchased through another home improvement store. However, we have learned that MENARDS is proposing a new store here in our local Florence, Kentucky area .

All of our model railroads feature components that represent nearly every department within a home improvement center. From paint, lumber, tools, electronics to specialty items (wood trims, cabinetry hardware and cabinetry) our systems offer tens of thousands of dollars in manufacturing quarterly sales.

The model railroad hobby is considered the World's Greatest Hobby and represents millions of dollars in annual earnings when considering related item(s) sales. For example, your product line of structures and rolling stock (cars) are very popular amongst hobbyist. The quality of products in association with pricing is clearly advantageous in either the beginner or advanced modelers.

Our program combines MENARDS product line of quality model railroad items in addition to those items offered in the construction of model railroads. In addition, we can tailor the designs to be offered directly through MENDARDS line of products to allow any modeler to simply pick a model railroad design, order the track, track plan and then check out with a products list that can be picked up at any MENARDS store. In addition, clients can also be encouraged to select other "related" items that may help with their model railroading project. For example, installing track often requires the use of a rotary tool. Moreover, various gauges of wiring, powering systems and accessories are available in the electrical department.

Essentially we are promoting the construction of model railroads through MENARDS via means of incorporating your organizations existing product line. Today's modelers are typically busy family members having little time to design or resource materials for their model railroads. However, our company's collaborative relations with MENDARDS will make designing, purchasing related materials and building much more easier and cost effective for all parties.
