One of the common problem we have when we have a meal in hand and we want to enjoy it with a movie is we are unsure about what to watch.
Our friends at time give us these recommendations which slips our mind. IMDB and rotten tomatoes have way too many choices. All the user cares about is watching something good as he enjoys his meal with his family.
The idea is to build a friends concept. We can subscribe to watch our friends watch and netflix can generate a curated list of recommendation - hey here s what your friends watched this week. To preserve privacy we need not reveal names of the friends and we can allow what we want to share with our friends. We can also create a list of friends watchlist. Use netflix as a platform to exchange information and build an appetite for movies based on influencing friends or to zoom out a bit - influencers.
