Backwards Compatible Switch Dock

Nintendo Product Improvement Idea

Submitted 7 years ago

If the Nintendo switch dock was just a little bigger to accommodate maybe a GPU and a DVD or Blu-ray drive then they could update the software to have emulators for GameCube, Wii, and Wii u games. Then the console would be capable of supporting backwards compatibility when docked. This is the first console in a long time that doesn't support any backwards compatibility, which makes sense due to the new game cards being more portable and not skipping when using it as a mobile gaming device. But they could even sell this new dock separately just for the people that might have an interest in it. This would allow them to leave the price of their current console alone, or perhaps they just have two versions similar to how Sony has PS4 and PS4 pro.
