Super Mario Maker should have a few more options, more advanced options. For instance, rising lava, or more power ups. One thing I've kept in mind is for Bowser. Bowser is way too RNG which means different experiences for all players. Bowser should have options that allow him different attacks for different levels. Such as him spinning his tail, or using flame attacks. Him jumping, walking, and firing fire is really boring, he even sometimes suicides himself! This is probably what should be improved on
