Wario Land Maker/Wario Maker For The Nintendo 3ds

Nintendo New Product Idea

Submitted 6 years ago

The idea for this new game is a similar one to Super Mario Maker, but improved upon as a more creative title.
For the Title Screen: It'll mostly be the same as the 3ds version, but if you'd made multiple stages, it will be playable here. If you finish a level, another one will play rather than reset, unless you have only one level made (you can set it to either straightforward or random in the options),
& on the touchscreen, like Smm, you can pick Make or Play (a little bonus: tap wario's nose between Make & play, the stage will change randomly)
For the main menu, the modes to select will be as followed:
A.Marathon Mode (Here, you can play random stages from all the Wario Land games, including Virtual Boy: Wario Land; If you clear all stages, you unlock a soundtrack mode)
B.Challenge Mode (Play your stage & race your opponent -up to 10 players- to the finish, collect all the coins, powerups or work together to finish it. You can select Wario, Waluigi, Daisy, Donkey Kong,Toad or even Samus. 1 cart only, ds-download play,
streetpass or wifi to play)
C.Cutscene maker
(Self explanitory with objects to command what other characters & objects do. If it glitches out or fails, it automatically goes back to editing. You can use a cutscene for a stage's intro &/or ending)
& D.Coursecase
(Holds all Marathon stages & user-created stages).
Discussing about the Marathon World..
Here is the order the levels will go in
Here's an example of one:
World 1- Garlicopolis
Stage 1- Wario Land II Chapter 1 Level 1
(Goal: Defeat the Alarm Clock
Coin A: Defeat all the enemies to pass
Coin B: Collect all the stage's coins without losing a single one)
Stage 2- Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 Rice Beach Stage 1
(Goal: get to the goal.
Coin A: Take no damage
Coin B: do NOT press left at all)
Stage 3- Virtual Boy Wario Land Stage 1
(Goal: get the key & unlock the goal door
Coin A: Keep on wearing the bullcap once you get it
Coin B: Don't kill any enemies)
Stage 4- Wario Land 4 Spoiled Rotten
(Time limit: 3min
Coin A: under 2m
Coin B: under 1m
Coin C: under 35s)
As for the challenge mode, you can select characters for all modes, you can set the handicap set for other players/yourself &
The menu for it would feature:
Cpu battle
[Face off in a single player vs cpu duel in your created stages (must make one in order for cpu battle to appear) & the time limit can be set by you in the meantime (from infinite to 1 minute)]
Ds-Download play -singlecard mode-
[Face off in a 1-4 player duel with only 1 card,
The time limit is infinite & you could go on for days,
You can only pick Marathon stages,
& You can only choose Wario, Waluigi, Mario & Luigi]
Ds-Download play -multicard mode-
[Face off in a 1-10 player duel with the respective numbered carts,
You can select the time limit of your choice,
You can pick from Marathon & User-Created stages,
& you can choose Wario, Waluigi, Daisy, Dk, Luigi, Mario, Samus, Link & Kirby]
Wifi/Streetpass mode
[Same features as the Multicard mode, but you can choose up to 100 players to duel with]

On the display mode, you can see your duel records like this:

As for the Cutscene maker portion, i'll go over the steps.
1. Command objects-
These command objects will guide both the characters & other objects on what to do in all scenes, besides the script (which i'll mention later). The objects available for this section will be:
Move (pinpoint it to a direction you want & you can move characters to that direction.)
Stop (self explanitory, plus you can set when the character stops: from 1 second to 10 seconds, then the other action will start)
Shock (the character will jump shocked for 3 seconds, then the next action will begin, unless there's a gap, which then the character will fall)
Directionpoint (move the camera to the other side of the screen when a character passes by it)
Observant (the character, depending on the type
of observant selected, will stop to look at any of
the selected directions for 2 seconds before the
next action will occur)
Open (once stopped, the character will
open up something in front of them.
If it's a Treasurechest, then the character will
raise both hands in glory & run off collecting it.
If its a Door, the character will enter it & the
next scene will play/ the cutscene will end there.
If its a Treasure iBag, the character will plunder
the coins, or whatever's in there & run off.)
Jump (self explanatory)
Anger (Angers one character & allows him/her to
do the actions with faster speed. For example: If Wario is angered, he can dash with more emphasis on
speed & Fury)
Cool down (if Angered, you can cool down a
character if they walk through this)
Fire (if a character is next to a cannon, they can
fire it off w/the object inside at any direction)
& End Set/Cutscene (if a character goes off
screen & touches this, the scene will freeze
for 2 seconds & either go on to the next set OR
the cutscene itself will end)
2. The characters-
The characters that're available to fiddle around
with will be:
Wario, a Pikeman, Captain Syrup, The Genie/Djinn, fun, icobo, Mario, Luigi, Princess Shokora
& Golden Diva.
you can also use the enemies found in the Editor
aswell

7. Background music-
(Also self explanatory)
8. Set time limit-
For each set, you can set up a time limit, from 30
seconds to 2 minutes before the next set begins
or the cutscene ends
& 9. Script-
If you click on the character or object, a script
pops up & you can drag-n'-drop scriptures for
the character/object to act out.

For example:

If ["WARIO"] is [in collision] with [A mine]

[He will detonate it] & [Be "SHOCKED"]

Or

[At this set time: 0:03] [the "CANNON" will]

[Fire at] ["WARIO" & Make him "RUN LEFT"]

As for The level editor itself, I'm gonna have
quite a day with this one:

1. The overall outlook.
For the front menu, the icons that'll appear will
be:

The object slot on the right left,

The Character changer on the Top left below the
object slot,

The scenery changer below the the character changer
itself -Day mode, Evening mode, & Night mode-

The Gamestyle changer above the scenery changer,

The sound effects frog below the Gamestyle
changer,

The Treasure editor below the Sfx frog,

The Music note, which lets you select any song
from the game selected,

a Test button designed in the style of a garlic at
the bottom right,

A level tab on the bottom displaying the
different level set sectors you're in *Tap a blank
box to add one, tap one if added to go to the next
set, or Press L/R to go to the previous or next set
respectively, & the allotted sets available are 8 a
Stage -256 total WHICH, not to mention, are
double the size of Mario Maker's stages. If the
stages are gonna be vertical stages, drag & drop
one set above or below another to connect,
A save button on the bottom right displayed as a
treasure chest*,

A bomb designed to wipe out the entire level if tapped & held for 3 seconds,

An undo/redo sign that'll revert/reincorporate
an action done during level-editing,

An eraser that resembles wario's nose,

A time limit set on the topright,
*You can set it between 10 seconds & Infinite;
A scroll level type can be set to a direction & between
Slow, Medium, Fast & Hyper*

& a menu chest ontop of the time limit set *which'll bring out & show,
Marathon mode above,

& Title screen on the bottom left.*
Inside the object slot, there will be categories
separated into the following groups:

*which'll include:

a long wall,
a window,

the top,
a rotating spike that's still,
a door which can link to other sets rather than
one set as in Mario Maker,
a pipe which can not only link to other sets but can
link to the same set,
a grab-on object,
flying platforms moving horizontally, vertically or
on guided lines back & forth,
brick blocks,
enemy-breakable blocks,
fireblocks that'll break when you're on fire,
fatblocks that'll break when you're fat,
a switch block that'll activate P-objects,
Save points *if you want to make metroidvania
style levels*,
Train Blocks,
Train Tracks,
Train backdrop,
Wheels,
Steel blocks,
Wind,
& Stoves which'll act as a moveable block.

all of the scenery objects will change to its
respective sprites depending on the game set.
