I'm a gadget & gizmo designer and fabricator within the entertainment industry. Since 1973, I've work on 100's of major features, TV shows, TV commercials and music videos and counting. Many of the one-of-a-kind of devices I build have no real real world value, but help make the projects I work on successful. I personally have 5 patents and the many dozens of ideas I've submitted for patents have failed for one reason or another.
I've come up with a new type of inexpensive and easy to manufacture kitty/dog watering dispenser that I am still testing, however, my original idea has developed into another promising variation. What is your process for submitting? Do I need to apply for a provisional patent or go for the full on version?
