So basically its an external drive that you can buy movies from RedBox. A lot of people are ripping movies so provide a legal way to get a library in the pocket without streaming. Load it with protections that just let you playback, search, get info on the movies contained. Things like that.
Adding to your collection is simpler this way. Travel off the grid whatever. Give me a simi hard copy of movies that won't weigh me down.
My job is in national parks. Most of the time I'm lucky to have wifi. Getting back to town tends to be every other week. 6 hours just to return a movie is not happening.
