I Wish Taco Bell Could Be Vegan/ Vegetarian Friendlier
Taco Bell Product Improvement IdeaSubmitted 7 years ago
I like the fact that Taco Bell has come up with an AVA approved menu. The only bad thing is sour cream is apparently vegetarian friendly, but Taco Bell is honest enough to admit that they use very small amounts of gelatin. If you're a dairy lover like me you might find this info both disappointing and frustrating because there's no way to enjoy Taco Bell sour cream and cheese (which has rennet in it) guilt free. If I consume the sour cream then I might as well be paying for actual steak and chicken too.
Another thing is there is absolutely no info on WHERE the actual meat comes from. The only info out there is about 12% of the ingredients that are added to the meat products. Any info about how that cow, chicken, or pig was raised is absent.
For people like me who are struggling to be vegetarian yet love the taste of meat how hard would it be for places like Taco Bell to incorporate items like veggie meat into their menu? A veggie chicken loaded potato griller sounds delicious.
One last thing is their potatoes. I checked and apparently their potatoes aren't AVA approved. That stinks because I love their potatoes.
So if Taco Bell could come up with more ways to make eating there more guilt free then that would be great! :)
