The Article-the 21st Century Slavery-Haiti And Mauritania

Time Magazine New Product Idea

Submitted 5 years ago

Headline the cover page and do an article on the fact that after the 2010 earthquake of Haiti made the blacks of Haiti feel that they had to resort to selling their siblings, children, mates and family members to countries such as the U.S.,the Dominican Republic, and South American countries like Ecuador, ect. as servants and prostitutes. Also, talk about how the country never really became an independent nation because Toussaint Louverture was captured by the French in 1801 and died in prison in 1804,King Henry came to power and was murdered in 1806, and in 1825 Jean Pierre Boyer paid 900,000,000 francs to France equivalent to 15 billion dollars in 2015 and Haiti never recovered from the debt of that and how the US took Haiti over in 1915 to keep other European countries from taking over and occupying a strategic war position on them. Then, go back to the Haitian slave trade to the U.S. today and how they exploit the slaves for fraud and identity theft. Also, shine the light on the slavery of the northwest African country Mauritania.
