Toshiba New Product Idea

Submitted 8 years ago

I would like to introduce a new home cinema loudspeaker system. This system has emerged as a problem caused by increasing the number of listeners in the home cinema and the inability to change the sound image of a conventional system. System I developed, produced a prototype for a sound test and is ready for patent protection.

New cinema sound is the type of satellite woofer for better positioning in the room. Satellite loudspeaker is very small and contains two full-range speaker range 200-20KHz. The speakers are placed at an angle of 30-45 degrees to the axis and the difference in sound intensity between the two speakers sound a moving image (Haas effect). This is achieved through a linear dual gang and two resistors (as in the drawing). In the middle position, there is no weakening of the intensity of both speakers is the same item in a virtual environment. Twist the potentiometer to the left of the left speaker intensity remains the same and the right speaker is weakening 6dB and Virtual point moves left the same goes for turning to the right (as shown in the drawing). Depending on the purpose of the satellites can be positioned horizontally or vertically with the ball joint.

The subwoofer is a bass-reflex type with two bass speaker range 40-4000Hz and two ports on the side. The ports on the side are due to more equal distribution of bass energy in the room without experiencing saturation of low frequency energy. Setting up a free-resonant frequency of a cutting 200Hz embedded in the housing subwoofer.

Advantages of the new system are the possibility of creating a sound image depending on the number of listeners a simple turn of a button on a satellite loudspeaker (as in the drawing). This system can create nine different sound experiences. The drawing presented the benefits of using this system to your home cinema in different configurations as 5.1.

The benefits of the new technology are: new, inexpensive and easy-to-use cinema sound system.
