I gave the same idea to tesla idea site, i didnt know someone posted a year back. since they are just jumping in Evs now - hope they choose this idea.

Charging Instead Of Charging!

My idea is using a united shape of battery. After that people can go to Battery Station and cost some money for replacing an empty battery with fully charged one.
The machnanism of that can be unanimous between companies for example with opening a cover and get the battery out of car from back and replace it with a machine like lift truck o sth similar.
it's a way that helps people save time. because replacing is quicker than charging!
