Water contaminated fuel is a big problem worldwide, which in turn causes, fuel filters, fuel pumps and injectors failures. (Which may or may not end up being warranty claims)We recently patented the world's 1st explosion proof water detection sensor technology. New diesel cars (none for petrol car) typically has a water in fuel (WIF) sensor at the fuel filter base, but this is too late as far as we are concerned. The right place to put the sensor is at the fuel tank. As soon as water contaminated fuel is pumped from the forecourt, the engine management system should kick in and prevent the car from starting. This way, the onus is on the fuel company to sort out the problem there and then.
