Magnet Drive Wheels

Hello,my name is simon walters, i would like to submit a idea for the drive and steer ability for a car, if not already known, here goes, the car wheels are spherical ( i am aware of this type of wheel, but what about if the wheel is lined with high power magnets inside the wheel so that the car floats on all four wheels with electric power that directs the wheels for motion, :- forward, reverse,left and right, there would be no suspension parts or steering parts what so ever, thus reducing weight and parts, there would be electric source at the front, rear and above of the wheels to aid the motion needed, thus reducing multiple battery cells, reducing weight and costs, i dont know if this idea exists, it was a idea that just came to mind, i hope and look forward to your response, sincerest regards, Simon Walters.
