Method Of Using Abs To Start The Vehicle On The Slippery Road

Toyota New Product Idea

Submitted 4 years ago

The modification consists of a built-in push-button and speed control integrated into ABS control unit. At vehicle start on slippery surfaces by activating the push-button by driver finger the speed control is activated. The push-button also activates the solenoid valve on the oil from the master brake cylinder to prevent the oil return caused by the pump operation, which is also activated. Pressing the accelerator pedal starts the wheel of the vehicle and informs the speed control unit about the wheel rotation speed. At a speed greater than the set speed, the wheel slips and must be stopped. This is accomplished by opening the input solenoid valve and simultaneously closing the exhaust solenoid valve, resulting in increased oil pressure against the wheel of the monitored wheel and braking the wheel in question. By further measuring the wheel speed, the speed controller keeps the wheel rotation speed at the set low value and the drive wheels do not slip, regardless of the additional throttling by the driver or slippery surface under the drive wheels.
After a successful start, the driver releases the push-button, which stops the speed control and activates the ABS control unit. All previously started devices are disabled and ready for normal operation of the ABS module.
