New Patent: “Cabin Air Filter And Dehumidifying Apparatus"

Toyota New Product Idea

Submitted 1 year ago

U.S. Patent No. 11,420,501 solves the problem of moisture accumulation in any vehicle's HVAC system which subsequently causes foul odors in the vehicle's cabin. Vehicles cabins include aircraft, automobiles, trains, and buses. This patent can also be applied anywhere you have a moist environment with forced air, such as commercial air conditioning applications.

THE PROBLEM SOLVED
Many vehicles experience a buildup of undrained water condensation, in the HVAC system, which turns into mold and produces smellable odor in the cabin. However, this new air filter attracts and adsorbs moisture to preempt the water buildup that leads to odor - all without degrading its air filtering capability. This phenomenon greatly reduces the need for various cabin deodorizer products.

THE TECHNOLOGY
The present cabin air filter device uses moisture attracting and adsorbing desiccants situated about a traditional air filter element to dehumidify air in the vicinity without impacting flowability of air through the filter even over extended usage. The HVAC system is kept dry, and the cabin is kept free of offending odor.

TESLA has HVAC odor within ONLY 6 MONTHS
Vehicles of many makes and models have the common problem of musty smelling mold forming from HVAC evaporator coil condensation going undrained and pooling. For example, TESLA vehicles are well-known to experience this problem within the first 6 months of operation. TESLA owners are understandably displeased about this and, to date, the only "solution" has been to both replace the cabin air filter and spray an odor-masking decontaminant in the HVAC evaporator coil area with inordinate frequency - a yearly $135 cost for the driver.

My Goal:
1. To start a dialogue with your company about any and all opportunities that you would be interested in regarding this new patent.
2. Create a partnership through Licensing or I.P. Buyout that satisfies both parties.

Thank you for taking the time to read my introduction.
I hope to speak to you soon.
