Smart Recognition Of Headlights Problems

Toyota Other Idea

Submitted 2 years ago

Keywords: Opacity of the glass or Plexiglass, fracture, burning out of the lamp.
Introduction: headlights are used for light of the road at night. Some factors cause headlights decrease their quality and driver may not be aware of this fact.
Proposal: Usually after some time by entrance of pebbles or water into headlights, or burning out of lamps, opacity of glass or Plexiglass, or dirt of lamp case, or ... . Headlights will lose their quality. In many cases driver will be accustomed to problems of the headlight and cannot recognize these problems.
We can use a small sensor that recognizes intensity of light. We install this sensor between lamp and glass or Plexiglass. When glass does not allow the light to exit, this light returns back to the lamp. Sensors for recognition of intensity of light like TSL 230 or digital sensor BH 1750FVI recognizes this intensity. By turning on an alarm light or an alarm horn we can inform the driver. In other state when one of the headlights has a weak light, sensor will inform the driver (left and right lamps).
Advantages: Attention to safety and view of the driver.
Disadvantages: Sensor should be installed in front of low beam and at the time of using low beams it should be programmed.
