An amazing publicity angle for Uber would be a fleet of horse drawn cabs in the city. With many journeys being short and perhaps a mile or so from the centre of the city, the general low speed of traffic and the massive worry of air pollution in London, horse drawn cabs would be revolutionary. There are several spots in London with large stable facilities from the Household Cavalry to the Lea Valley Riding school that may be able to help with an experimental version of the service. A few cabs that had similar facilities to a car i.e. air con/electric windows/adjustable seating etc would be enough to start.
