Uber should allow drivers to offer rides to a specific area/destination that they will be heading to at a certain day/time. This could be used daily for a commute home or to when heading to/from a concert or event. The fares could be a little less or just based on mileage (not time) to avoid extra cost to the passenger for rush hour traffic. And even with lower fares it would be a win win for driver and passenger since they are both going to the same area.
For example if I'm leaving the city (or airport, or concert/event venue) at 5pm I could put out an offer for a pickup within a certain vicinity of my location to a certain vicinity to my destination.
