UBER,

Please provide vehicles with bike racks because there are many people who ride bikes and due to either bad weather or time convenience it would be most helpful if you had a symbol placed on your app stating those drivers who have bike racks or if not a bike rack can state their type of vehicle and that they would accept storing bike(s) in their vehicle. Of course that should be the drivers choice. This would help tremendously. Maybe in areas notorious for bicyclers. I live in the Bay Area California.

I hope you take this into consideration. You can have my money if this goes forward.

I would like to see this idea implemented as well. I am a driver and have had passengers ask about transporting bikes. I have since been driving with my bike rack attached. This service should be a slightly higher rate then the standard UberX, similar to the Uber Ski service, as it does mean additional costs to the driver. Also, not all bike racks can carry the same number of bikes, many of them only carry 2 bikes. So the driver should have in his/her profile how many bikes his/her rack can carry and the passenger should indicate in the request how many bikes need to be transported. That way the passengers can be matched with an appropriate driver.

I really hope this suggestion is considered by Uber. I understand there is "Uber Pedal" in Seattle, why not allow the option for other areas. I have a bike rack permanently installed on my car and it is simple to put a bike on and take it off. I would use Uber so much more often if I knew I could take a long bike ride somewhere and then just Uber home.
