With the emergency response services under pressure at unpredictable times, especially within the cities, I think it would be a good idea that there is an emergency section on the Uber app that allows selected Uber drivers, preferably those with XL vehicles, to have temporary authority to get people to hospital quicker with the use of sirens. This will permit them to use bus lanes and to alert other drivers to give way. I'm not sure of the full logistics of such an operation e.g. vetting, first aid training, equipment, accompanies, insurance, conditions, communication, and monitoring, etc, but if people have another option to arrive at hospital earlier it could save many lives.
