A Mixed Strategy And 3rd Person Action Game

It was in my mind that it's possible to make a game that it's A mixed strategy and 3rd person action game.
imagine you're in the game and want to attack to a castle, then you divide your army to for example 4 parts and for each part that it's a mix of for example archers in 3rd line sword men in 2nd line and pike men in the first line or anything else, you choose a captain or kind of leader, then you give some orders to different parts of your army consisted of for example first,2nd and 3rd order like when they finished and they reached to the point or did what you said for the first order they do the second one and the 3rd one etc.
When the battle started you become one of the captains that you chose for your army then like for example assassin's creed game you play and you're the captain and when ever you wanted you can go up and change your war plans,give new orders,or change your main character to another captain in another part of the battlefield and play as you're him.
Even we can buy,upgrade or change soldier's and captain's equipment and even we can have some special captains or characters with their own story.
I think that could be awesome and with a bit more plans it can be a great game out there.
