I believe Volkswagen should acquire Lucid Motors to advance Volkswagen's mission to move toward EVs. Lucid Motors would offer Volkswagen Peter Rawlinson. He's designed the same technology and design that made Tesla the EV player it is today but improved upon it. This would allow Volkswagen to have Lucid Motors battery technology which could propel VWs current EV cars like their VW ID3 to roughly 400 miles.

With Lucid Motors having the Lucid Air which is a direct competitor to VWs luxury brands this acquisition would give VW an EV luxury car on the market which can be applied to its other luxury cars such as their Bentley, Bugatti, Porsche, Lamborghini, and Audi brands.

Lucid Motors benefits by having VWs knowledge as far as scalability. As well as provide funding to Lucid Motors. This well help excel both companies long term goals.

Lucid Motors has talked about potential going public however VW has the capital to buy it currently since its private or to wait and use a cash/credit/stock combination.

The combination of VWs production capacity, superior interior designs mixed with Lucid Motors technology and exterior designs and stylings would be a perfect match.
