Voicenotes are often horrible to listen to as you need to up volume and then have the awkward situation of others listening to your private message while standing with the phone to your ear.

Having the option available to get a text version of the voice not to the best ability (doesn't even need to be accurate. A 40% accuracy will still provide some idea of what its about) which then allows you to either figure out what the message is meant to be and respond if it is important to you.
