Bring Back Features And Options From Android 4.4.2

Android Product Improvement Idea

Submitted 8 years ago

I recently upgraded to a Sprint Galaxy S6 Edge from a Galaxy S4. I love the design of the phone but, I am sorely disappointed with the removal of many options and settings. The things that set Google Android apart from Apple are being scaled back with each release. For example my S4 had a Bluetooth check box option to be visible only to paired devices. Why is this missing from the Lollipop? Also things that should be simple are becoming complicated. For example, my WiFi kept turning on even though I turned it off. I had to look in the advanced settings to find an option that should be off by default to prevent the phone from searching for WiFi when none is available or available briefly. Burns more battery searching for WiFi when there is none. I could go on but Android 5.1.1 is a step backwards as far as options and settings from 4.2.2. Such a let down as everything else is great especially securing the phone completely. I was on the with the loss of the SD card but the new Knox and fingerprint scanning is great. Wish the security theme was kept up by allowing my device to remain invisible to potential hackers if my Bluetooth is on.
