It is a redesign type of four stroke engines that includes a two-sided piston with external con rods creating power at both sides.
That way we can produce more power almost in the same volume and weight in comparison with usual form of piston engines.
Another advantage is about general volume of the engine that occupies less room in car body than other engines with almost same power.
Also the power to weight ratio of this engine is decreased per cylinder so that we use less fuel either.
Anyway, it has got some pros and cons that I can not deny them like its complexity, but it is the newest type of piston engines which can be one of the complementary design to put an end on this type of engines.
